Behind the Glam: 20+ Years with Sandra, Manager of The Ladyboys of Bangkok<\/strong><\/p>\n

For over two decades, Sandra has been the heartbeat behind the scenes of the dazzling Ladyboys. From international tours to unforgettable backstage stories, she\u2019s seen it all. We sat down with Sandra for a Q&A to uncover some of her favorite memories, fun facts, and insights from her incredible journey.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Q: Sandra, how long have you be<\/strong>en with the Ladyboys now?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> It\u2019s been just over 20 years \u2014 hard to believe! It feels like I blinked and two decades passed. This show is my second home.<\/p>\n

Q: That\u2019s an incredible milestone. How many countries have you toured with the Ladyboys?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> I\u2019ve been to 18 countries with the show. Some, like the UK and Australia, we return to regularly, while others were one-off adventures. Every place brings a new audience and a new energy.<\/p>\n

Q: And what about venues? Do you keep count?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> Oh yes \u2014 I have managed shows in over 260 venues<\/strong>. From Big Top, to grand theatres to pop-up stages in shopping centres, each one has its own quirks. We adapt quickly!<\/p>\n

Q: Do you have a favourite venue or city?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> That\u2019s tough. I have a soft spot for Edinburgh during the Fringe \u2014 it\u2019s electric. But Brighton always feels like a celebration. The crowd, the sea breeze \u2014 it\u2019s magic.<\/p>\n

Q: After 20+ years, what keeps you going?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> The people. The performers, the crew, and especially the audience. There\u2019s something incredibly rewarding about being part of a team that brings joy, surprise, and a little sparkle to people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

Q: What advice would you give to someone wanting to work in live entertainment?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:<\/strong> Be flexible, stay calm under pressure, and keep your sense of humour. Things will<\/em> go wrong \u2014 it\u2019s how you handle it that makes you valuable.<\/p>\n
